Call For Artwork: Pride Month ’22
CALLING LGBTQ+ ARTISTS: We’re looking for queer-identifying artists to celebrate Pride Month in a collaborative exhibition.
Love is Love
Dark Yellow Dot supports artists at the beginning of their career, often by providing opportunities to display real art in real spaces. For the month of June, in conjunction with Pride Month, we want to elevate and highlight the voices of our LGBTQ+ audience in the celebration of queerness. We’re seeking emerging queer artists with a strong personal vision and an innovative approach to their art medium to represent their perspectives relating to themes of love, particularly within the queer community.
We’re looking for London-based artists working in Fine Art mediums (Sculpture, Paintings, Illustration, Digital, Collage, Photography, Print, Textiles, etc.). Selected artworks will be on exhibition at the 1B Window Gallery, Walthamstow.
Both the artist and the artwork must be in London to be considered as Dark Yellow Dot prides itself on promoting local arts and culture. We’ll be making our selections from the artworks submitted so make sure you put your best work forward and submit pieces related to the theme of the exhibit.
We ask that only queer identifying artists apply and allies can show support by sharing the open call.
If this will be your first exhibition, or you’ve never entered or won an art competition before, we strongly encourage you to apply!
